Monticello

Located on Route 53. Home of Thomas Jefferson, third US President, author and founder of the University of Virginia. The grounds illustrate his architectural, scientific and agricultural genius.

Open: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, March through October;
9:00 am to 4:30 pm, the rest of the year. Closed: Christmas Day


Ash Lawn-Highland

Located on Route 795. Home of the fifth US President, James Monroe, Ash Lawn features beautifully maintained gardens and furnishings reflecting federal elegance and style. Outbuildings provide farm craft demonstrations and children's games.

Open daily: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Montpelier

Located on Route 20, a scenic drive from Charlottesville. Montpelier celebrates the life and legacy of President Madison, the Father of the Constitution and Dolly Madison, America's first, "First Lady". The tour includes the home, the formal garden, archaeological sites and enjoys the breathtaking vista of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The University of Virginia

Thomas Jefferson wished to be remembered as "the Father of the University." This academic village is recognized as one of the nation's most outstanding universities, as well as a supreme architectural achievement. It is the only United States site on the World Heritage list of historical buildings.

Central Virginia Vineyards and Wineries

Thomas Jefferson is credited as being the father of American wine. Today, Virginia has 59 wineries, which offer world-class wines. The best-known are located near Keswick Hall... Keswick Vineyards, Jefferson Vineyards, Barboursville Vineyards, Oaken Croft, and Horton Cellars to name just a few.

The Bayly Art Museum

Located at the University of Virginia it features ancient art, 15th - 19th century American and European paintings, and sculpture.

The Kluge Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection and Study Center

Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection: this collection is comprised of approximately 1600 paintings, decorative sculptures and artifacts from the private collections of Mr. John W. Kluge and the late Professor Edward L. Ruhe. Located just minutes from Keswick Hall at Peter Jefferson Place of Route 250.

The McGuffey Art Center

Located in downtown Charlottesville is a cooperative, which has been in existence since 1975. The building's airy rooms are transformed into studios, galleries and a gift shop.

In and around Charlottesville. Tours can be tailor made for your group. Cost depends on tour requirements and transportation.
